The following letter has been hand delivered to all premises affected along Walton Road, and adjoining no-through roads:
Dear Neighbour,
Molesey Carnival – Saturday 13th June 2026
As a Molesey resident you are no doubt very familiar with the annual Molesey Carnival street parade. This eagerly anticipated and much-loved community event is back in the Molesey calendar.
As Chair of Molesey Carnival organising committee, out of courtesy I am writing to let you know that this year the parade will be starting from Walton Road Car Park - a start point negotiated with Elmbridge Borough Council.
The parade will assemble in Saint Mary’s Road and a full road closure will be in place between the hours of 11.00am and 12.45pm.
The parade will then proceed along Walton Road at approximately 12.30pm to the West Molesey Recreation Ground. Walton Road will be subject to a full road closure for the duration of the parade, which, to allow time for set up and take down, will take effect between 11.00am and 2.00pm.
We anticipate that this may cause a little disruption between the hours of 11.00am and 2.00pm on the day; however, we are employing a professional and fully accredited Road Marshalling company to ensure this is minimised.
If you wish to raise any concerns, please feel free to drop me an email and I will respond as quickly as possible.
Yours faithfully,
Janine Macqueen
Molesey Carnival Committee Chair
